Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We brought our pet in on a Saturday evening and waited nearly four hours before they were even assessed by a veterinarian. While I understand that emergency clinics can be busy, it was concerning to learn from staff that this level of overcrowding is typical on weekends and that there was only one veterinarian on duty. What stood out most was that discussions about estimates, costs, and obtaining signatures seemed to take priority over providing timely medical care. We fully expect to discuss treatment costs, but when an animal is waiting hours to be seen, the focus should first be on assessment and care. I want to acknowledge that the veterinarian herself was kind, compassionate, and clearly doing everything she could. She appeared genuinely concerned for the animals and was working hard under difficult circumstances. The issue was not with her professionalism, but rather with what seemed to be chronic understaffing and a system that left both staff and pet owners overwhelmed. I hope the clinic addresses its staffing levels, particularly on weekends, because no pet owner should have to wait that long for an initial assessment, and no veterinarian should be expected to manage that workload alone.

We took our dog in because he kept throwing up for hours. We got there a little after midnight. Staff was very attentive. Dr Tara Erickson was AMAZING! She took the time to explain everything. She wasn’t rushed and only provided services needed. So caring, and truly vested in providing the best care for our dog! We need more people in the world like her! I wish she had her own private practice. Best vet ever!!

We stopped by to treat our puppy after an attack from another dog. While AVC didn't have the bandwidth to treat her, they gave her great attention and care during a short checkup and referred us to another vet hospital with capacity to treat her. I'm sure they would've taken good care of our dog if they'd treated her, we would gladly recommend them to any in need of urgent veterinary care.

Charged us 8 grand for a urinary blockage and is whining about the hassle of approving the special food from Chewie. The food is prescription. We paid you 8 grand less than 5 months ago. The audacity of denying it to Chewie and not even telling us after we paid you that much? I knew you were greedy but screw my cat I guess, sorry we didn't have to pay more. Is there some 'keep your cat alive after 8k for not-even-surgery package' we should have been aware of? Horrible greedy company with non-feeling employees. Anyone who is employed here is either horrible at what they do to where they can't work somewhere else, or they don't care about animals and 'its just a job'. Stay away
