New review: I've been taking my cats to Sugarhouse Vet Hospital for 26 years. I am a loyal customer and my cats have always had the best care; even through some difficult surgeries and illnesses performed by many of the different vets there. I have really grown to trust this practice over the years. Oji has been seeing Dr. Perez for a long time now and he loves her. She is so gentle with him and doesn't talk loud in the exam room. Oji gets very scared with loud noises in the clinic. He is hyper aware of every sound and startles easily, I've noticed. So, this is a big deal to me that she is quiet and gentle. Also, Dr. Perez is sensitive to the fact he gets terrible motion sickness in the car on the way over and is helping me manage Oji's anxiety and nausea with medications when he needs to travel. She keeps me well informed about how I can best keep him healthy. For example, a year ago, she went over a detailed weight loss plan with me and really took time to explain the plan with me. Oji had success between wellness visits losing 1 lb. We will be working on helping him lose 1 more. This is extremely important to me because I know he could live longer if he stays trim and fit. I feel Dr. Perez can answer all of my concerns and questions. It's awesome. She is a gem. I must send a shout out to her vet tech Alyssa, too. She has a great personality and bedside manner like Dr. Perez. She was very thorough explaining instructions to me and even answering some of my questions. She made sure when Oji went back to get blood tests that there weren't any dogs back there. I am super impressed! I even noticed the cute little design she wrote with Oji's name and hearts and paw print on the medication bag. Thanks, ladies! I tell everyone I can that you are the best! - Angela P. and Oji

If I could give zero stars I would. There are some great vet techs and good Doctors over there but today I saw Dr. McGill. I had an appointment that I arrived 10 minutes early for but wasn’t seen till an hour after my actually appointment start time. Dr. McGill didn’t seem to actually care for my concerns and I overheard her try and put responsibility on the vet tech for forgetting meds. I don’t know if they were mine or not but there was also a lack of attention to give me meds for my dog. After waiting for bloodwork that I was hesitant on Dr. McGill had pressured me to get it and made me wait a whole hour before giving me meds. I was very frustrated and I didn’t mean to be to the vet tech especially when the Doctor was the problem.

Love, love, love Dr. Perez and the entire team at Sugarhouse Veterinary Hospital. Gracie & Titus are in excellent hands and receive so much love when we are there. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs amazing care for their furry babies.
